// ABOUT THE PROJECT //
Our client is one of the largest media companies in Germany and, as a digital group, combines leading entertainment brands with a successful dating & video and commerce & ventures portfolio.
The Rights & License Solution team (RLS for short) is responsible for all IT applications that map the rights and licenses in the company in order to manage, monitor and control them. You are the first point of contact regarding workload, system improvement, performance, high availability and clustering as well as the owner of tech tools and projects such as configuration management automation.
// YOUR TASKS //
- You are responsible for the administration, maintenance and 2nd level support of middleware as well as Java e-applications and their runtime environment. In addition, you ensure the stability of our distributed systems
- In addition, you are responsible for software testing and the use of appropriate testing tools such as QF-TEST
- You take care of the ELK stack and the installation of fixpacks, as well as the support and implementation of product upgrades
- In addition, you are responsible for system monitoring and provide proactive service to increase service availability
- You take care of malfunctions and problems in production and ensure the highest availability of business-critical systems
// THAT’S YOU //
- You have several years of experience in Linux and AIX system administration, as well as initial experience in the operation and administration of Java applications in WebSphere and Tomcat environments. In addition, you have no fear of contact with on premise or cloud (such as Kubernetes or Docker)
- Ideally you also have experience in 2nd level application support as well as troubleshooting and root cause analysis and in addition you also have experience in planning and implementing IT enterprise infrastructure
- DevOps mentality and knowledge in automation and optimization of deployments as well as CI/CD pipelines and tools for application operation (e.g. ELK, Ansible, Prometheus) complete your profile
- You are responsible, curious, a team player and motivated to try new things and break new ground
- You speak fluent English and communicate confidently in German
